Joint Regional Rep (Midlands)
I started in the regional representative role for the Midlands region in April 2022. We have 15 members in our regional group and 3 potential new members who I contacted recently and are going to attend our regional meeting in September before deciding whether to join. Our group has 3 meetings a year, these have all been online. Agenda items have included recruitment/retention of volunteers, recovery post covid pandemic, procedures with volunteering in different areas such as volunteer drivers, vulnerable adults and young volunteers.

I joined HVMN as soon as I started with the Hospice. My manager was a member and later Regional Rep, as was her predecessor for many years. The networking, the ideas, the support and the sharing have all been invaluable right from day one, new in post and not knowing what I was letting myself in for, up to now where I can support, coach and mentor others and give back first as a Regional Rep and now as a member of the Exec.
